Founder Profile
Akemi Chikaoka
CEO | Japanese Learning and Support Coordinator
Graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
After working at Yamaichi Securities, Fuji Bank, and a full-service hotel, I transitioned into the field of Japanese language education. As a Japanese language teacher and operations manager of a Japanese teacher training program, I was involved in Japanese language education, instructor development, program management, and curriculum design.
Currently, as a Japanese Learning and Support Coordinator, I work with public elementary and junior high schools and boards of education in Tokyo, overseeing the development of Japanese instruction systems for children with foreign roots. My responsibilities range widely from needs assessment, instruction plan design, instructor recruitment and placement, to coordination with schools and parents.
